Commercial floating docks and marina systems built for the traffic, weight and weather that public and business waterfront takes on every season. MP Deck and Dock designs, fabricates and installs commercial docks for marinas, resorts, camps, lodges, municipalities and waterfront restaurants across Muskoka, Parry Sound and Georgian Bay.
A residential dock carries a family and a boat. A commercial dock carries dozens of people at once, fuel carts, delivery loads, rental fleets and the constant wake of a busy harbour. We size framing, float buoyancy and connection hardware for the actual use of the dock, not a generic rating. Heavy-duty Canadian-made HDPE floats, galvanized steel or marine-grade aluminum frames, and through-bolted connections keep the system stable under crowd loads and steady through rough water.
Georgian Bay has moved almost two metres between its recent low and high. Muskoka lakes swing with the spring freshet and fall drawdown every year. Our Muskoka water level guide explains the pattern. For commercial docks that means anchoring and gangway design have to handle the full range, not the level on install day. We design anchor systems, pile connections and articulated gangways so the dock stays usable and safe from May to October.
Commercial waterfront work often involves municipal permits, Fisheries and Oceans Canada review and, on Georgian Bay, federal navigable-waters considerations. We have been through these processes for more than 20 years and can advise on what your project will need before you commit. Most commercial dock systems are fabricated in our Parry Sound shop over the off-season and installed in spring so you are open for the May long weekend.
We offer scheduled spring installation, fall removal and winter storage or on-site winterization for commercial systems, along with mid-season inspections and repairs. See our dock maintenance services. One crew, one call, and your waterfront is ready when your guests arrive.
All floats carry a 25-year warranty. Framing is galvanized steel or marine-grade aluminum, decking is pressure-treated, cedar or commercial composite, and hardware is stainless or hot-dip galvanized throughout. Everything is Canadian-sourced where available and built to be repaired, not replaced.
Tell us about your property, how many boats and people the dock needs to serve, and your target opening date. We will visit the site, review the shoreline and water conditions, and provide a detailed proposal. Call (705) 481-3350 or request a site visit online. We also build residential floating docks and swim rafts for cottage owners.
