Build Your Career on the Water
MP Deck and Dock is a Parry Sound company that has spent more than 20 years designing, building and maintaining docks, decks and waterfront structures across Muskoka, Parry Sound and Georgian Bay. Our crews work outdoors on some of the most beautiful shorelines in Ontario, and the work we do lasts for decades. If you take pride in building things properly and want a job where no two sites look the same, we want to hear from you.
Roles We Hire For
- Dock installers and marine technicians - assembling floating and fixed dock systems, setting anchors, installing aluminum ramps and stairs, and handling spring installs and fall removals.
- Carpenters and deck builders - framing, decking, railings and finish work using pressure-treated, cedar and composite materials.
- General labourers - material handling, site prep, shoreline work and supporting the install crews. A great entry point if you want to learn the trade.
- Seasonal crew - spring and fall are our busiest periods for dock ins and outs. We hire additional hands each season, and strong seasonal workers often move into year-round roles.
What the Work Is Like
Most days start early and end on a lake. You will work from barges, boats and shorelines, often on rocky or remote sites, in conditions that range from warm summer mornings to cold, wet October dock removals. The job is physical and demands attention to safety around water, moving loads and power tools. In return, you build real skills in marine construction that are hard to find anywhere else in the province.
What We Offer
- Year-round work for permanent crew, with seasonal opportunities in spring and fall
- Benefits package for eligible full-time employees
- WSIB coverage and a safety-first job site culture
- Hands-on training in dock systems, marine hardware and shoreline construction
- A small, tight-knit team where your work is visible and your input matters
- The chance to work on the water in Muskoka and Georgian Bay every day
What We Look For
- Valid Ontario G driver's licence; a Pleasure Craft Operator Card is an asset
- Comfort working on and around water, including from boats and floating platforms
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in all seasons
- Construction, carpentry or marine experience preferred, but not required for labourer and seasonal roles
- Reliability, a good attitude and respect for clients' properties
